I have been writing most of my life, beginning when I discovered a huge love for words at the start of the many essays we were set, (weren’t we all? ) by our English teacher while filling the day with things that weren’t nearly as interesting as exploring the local woods, sneaking down to the shops and so on.

To my delight, this first essay for me opened my eyes to the beauty of imagining and writing down, all kinds of tales. Which has never left me and is why I now have this beautiful place to showcase what my imagination has brought forth through the years.

Adelaide and Tristram, (sample at right), were my favourite hero and heroine for such a long time and still hold a place in my heart. Take a quick peak and let me know how YOU like them.

Who could have guessed that just breaking one small (in her eyes) rule would set so many changes in motion? Just by leaving her servant behind while visiting an injured parishioner, twenty three year old Eleanor Carstaires, is stunned by the events her rebellious disobedience sets in motion. Their eldest son Reuben, twenty nine, calls at the vicarage in answer to a request from Eleanor’s father, Sir Humphrey Carstaires, who had recognised the jewels on sight.The meeting between Eleanor and Reuben sparks instant attraction in both, but is dismissed by Eleanor as an inconvenience, something she doesn’t need with her heavy involvement with her father’s parishioners and her desire to educate the children of their poorer villagers.Family, London society and the villains she ran up against, ensure that the inconvenience to her daily life will not go away any time soon. But can she avoid the inconvenience of frequent meetings with Mr Reuben Hawkinsdale and the attraction he holds for her?
